Stampin' UP! Regionals--I'm so inspired

On Saturday I went to Stampin' UP!'s regional training event in Cincinnati. I learned so much and I can't wait to show you some of the fun WOW projects. I even got to meet Shelli Gardner the co-founder of Stampin' UP! She's an incredible woman, and reminded us all of the importance of the relationships we make while we are in this business.
Everyone who attended got the set Berry Christmas, and we used that to create several beautiful make and takes. This was my third regional event and I think these were my favorite of all the make and takes. I really love the color combo!

Yep we even got to make a scrapbook page! There are still two make and takes that I haven't put together yet because I got busy looking at all the great sample boards.

It is so much fun to spend the day with fellow stampers! And I have a great group of fellow demonstrators! The regional training is just one of the great perks of being a demonstrator, if you'd like to join us and become a demonstrator please let me know and I can give you all the details, I'd love to have you join us.

I'm so excited about sharing some of these ideas with you that I can't wait any longer, so I'm offering a special for Hostess the book an in home workshop next week. I have Sept 21, 22, and 24 available. If you hostess a workshop and have at least $150 in sales you can pick and additional $10 worth of free product out of the catalog. Contact me today!

Projects from Stampin' Therapy

Here are the projects we made last week at Stamp Therapy. We had a lot of fun and it felt so good to stamp again!

This matchbook style Halloween treat is super easy and very high on cute factor. I used the set Pumpkin Patch from the new mini, it has lots of great faces. Kids will love using this stamp set. The matchbook is easy enough that you could make a bunch of these in no time!

This is the technique we did. We stamped the image using stazon ink on glossy white paper. Then used a white crayon to create highlights. Then we sponged ink on top and blended the colors together. I used soft suede, dusty durango and crushed curry; three of our new incolors that are perfect for fall.

I know you've seen a version of this card before. This time I used brushed silver paper instead of the shimmery white paper and I still think it beautiful. No matter how many Christmas cards you mail out, this card is simple enough to make in mass quantities that you could make your own cards!

The cards below were made at Stamp Therapy by my 7 year old daughter. The only think I did to help was tie ribbon! I think she did great. I'd show you the matchbox that she made but she had already given it away by the time I took pictures :)

Serene Snowflakes

This is a CAS (Clean and Simple) card using two sets out of the Holiday mini catalog Serene snowflakes and Four the holidays. You can tell but I used shimmery white cardstock so the whole card sparkles. I really love the look of the mover and shaker dies for the big shot but haven't yet bought it so I decided to try to recreate the look with a punch that I already had. I used the square punch to create the rectangle window.
See more Mini Catalog projects Wednesday Sept 9th at 6:30p. Make sure to RSVP if you plan on attending.

Emergency Birthday Card Kit

I was playing with some of my retired simply scrappin kits and decided to make what has been called an "Emergency Birthday Card Kit". You know when you forget some one's birthday and you've got to get a card in a hurry.
Each Kit has 12 birthday cards and envelopes that all fit into one storage envelope. I have enough supplies for 3 more kits.
You may purchase the supplies and instructions to make your own kit for $10 or you can purchase the kit already made for $15 (plus $5 shipping).
You can never have enough birthday cards. . .this would also make a great gift!

Hit the road with pastels and blender pen

I'm in the "H" section of my stamp sets now. This stamp is called "Hit the Road" it's currently on the dormant list but remains one of my son's favorite stamps. I used Stampin' UP! Pastels and a blender pen to color the jeep in. The pastels are a great way to have all 48 colors (plus 3 neutrals). I made an attempt at a video tutorial on how to use the pastels. Click the picture below to get to youtube and see the video. I'm still learning how to do this video stuff so bear with me :)

Brother Bear

I love love love this stamp set! We are now carrying a line of build-a-bear products. Paper, stamps, and yes even dies. This little guy was so easy to color with the stampin' write markers.
I used Pumpkin Pie, Garden Green and Tempting Turquoise and Creamy Carmel.
I'm working on a video tutorial using the pastels but I'm having a hard time uploading to youtube. We'll see if I can get it figured out for tomorrow's post.

The Holiday Mini is Here!

Although I have to admit there isn't anything "mini" about this catalog. It's twice the size of our other mini catalogs and full of fun new stamp sets, paper, die cuts, punches, paint, jewelry (yes that's right). Great products for the upcoming holidays starting with Halloween.

Click on the picture and you can see all the great products for your self. Now if you want to get a little hands on with some of the projects, make sure you come to Stampin' Therapy on Wednesday Sept 9th at 6:30. Please RSVP!

It is also a great time to host your own workshop because if your sales are $250 or more you can get something out of the mini for only $10, in addition to getting free hostess sets and other free products!
