Sale-a-Bration is coming!!

I'm so excited about this year's Sale-a-Bration choices. Like every year when you spend $50 you can pick free products. This year you have your choice between a 6 x6 paper stack, 4 great stamp sets or a brand new punch! But that's not all. This year Stampin' UP! is also letting you pick some stamp sets in the current catalog including "Hello again" and "Dasher".

This sample card shows one of the Sale-a-bration stampsets, the paper is from the sweet pea paper stack in the new occasions mini.

Now is a great time to have a workshop! During sale-a-bration the hostess earns a free Sale-a-bration product with $300 in sales. To make it even better, I will be giving away the Love Bug Level 1 Hostess set if you Host a workshop on FRIDAY JANUARY 8th! Book your workshop today!

More Baby Cards

I have a hard time packing to scrapbook at a crop, so when I was planning for the Relay for Life Crop last Sunday I decided I would make cards instead of scrapbook while I was there. I looked in my card box and I didn't have any baby cards! This made packing much easier, I picked a few baby sets, the SAB paper was perfect for my color scheme, so I knew what color paper, ink and accessories to bring. I still had to make some hard decisions like what punches

I used different accessories on each card but same idea and color scheme. During the scrapbooking crop I also made the baby thank you cards and gift box that you saw a few days ago (same color scheme).

Sale-a-Bration CASE

Do you know what CASE stand for? Copy And Share Everything. A lot of people say "where do you get your ideas?" I don't come up with many on my own. I get them from the catalog, the magazine that Stampin' UP! send demonstrators every month. I get them from fellow demonstrators and I get ideas from blogs just like you do. This card is a case from the front of the Sale-a-Bration catalog. The colors are a little different but the card is basically the same.
I encourage you to find a card that you like and CASE it. It doesn't have to be exactly the same, maybe you use the lay out, or the color scheme and make it your own. It can be stressful to sit down with a stack of stamps and a blank piece of cardstock and think "what do I do now?" So take some of the stress out by finding inspiration and CASEing someone else.

Texturz Peek-a-boo card

This is a card that wee made at Kristie's workshop last week. I really love how it turned out and it was so simple to make!! The card base is pale plum cardstock and we ran it thru the big shot using one of the texture plates. This dry embossed the entire front of the card. Then we used the wide oval punch to punch the oval on the bottom right. A 4x 51/4 piece of whisper white cardstock was placed inside the card. To make sure you have perfect placement of the flower in the oval window we took a scrap of paper and punched an oval out. Then lay the scrap down over the oval window and stamp thru the window onto the white cardstock. Clear as mud, right? I really need to learn how to make tutorials!

St. Patty's Day Sale-a-Bration

Aren't these two cards awesome? I'm not fishing for compliments people. I didn't make these. Two fellow demonstrators made these cards. I joined a digital swap so that all of you could have more samples for Sale-a-bration. Both of these cards used the heart from the Polka Dot punches set to make a shamrock. I just think that is a great idea.
I love being part of such a talented group of women. One of the best parts of being a demonstrator is when we are able to get together to stamp and share ideas.
If you've ever thought about being a demonstrator now is a great time, you get 15% off the starter kit and a free stamp set of your choice! If you sign up now you will also get a workshop planner each month for the first 6 months that will provide you with pictures and instructions for projects to use at your workshops.

Sale-a-Bration Paper

I love that Stampin' UP! is now giving choices besides stamp sets for Sale-a-Bration. This card uses the Designer Series Paper and the Celery Ribbon from the ribbon bundle. I used the Upsy Daisy stamp set, stamped with versa mark and colored with pastels. I love that you can get multiple colors on the images. You can do a lot with pastels, this technique is called poppin pastels. If you don't have them, now is a great time to get them. If you were to purchase the upsy daisy stamp set, Pastels and a versa mark pad you would qualify for a free sale-a-bration item like the paper or the ribbon on this card.
To learn more techniques using pastels or any others, schedule your own class. Make it a girls night out! 3 projects for $5, just let me know what techniques you are interested in. Contact me for available dates!

two different songs in my head

The first is a Billy Joel song "so you think you are a big shot, don't cha . . " I've been singing it ever since my Big Shot arrived on Thursday. And yes, I do feel like a big shot!! Thursday was a snow day for the kids so Emma was home when the UPS guy dropped it off. Both of us ran to the door, and my daughter screamed when we opened it. (I think she may be my first recruit). We immediately started cutting paper it was FABULOUS (oh that just added a third song in my head "fabulous that is my simple request all things fabulous", from High School Musical 2).

Okay the other song that I've been singing is "Celebrate good times, come on!" Are you all singing with me? Because yesterday was the first day of Stampin' UP!s biggest promotion of the year Sale-a-bration!!! Check out the brochure link on the right side of my blog. There are four beautiful stamp sets, one ribbon bundle, and a pack of designer series paper. It's simple spend $50 get any one of the six FREE!!!!!!!! Who doesn't love free.

Stamp set: Botanical Blooms (Sale-a-bration)
Colors: Regal rose, brocade blue, chocolate chip, garden green
accessories: Big shot, top note die, chocolate chip poly ribbon (I think it's retired)
