St. Patty's Day Sale-a-Bration

Aren't these two cards awesome? I'm not fishing for compliments people. I didn't make these.Two fellow demonstrators made these cards. I joined a digital swap so that all of you could have more samples for Sale-a-bration. Both of these cards used the heart from the Polka Dot punches set to make a shamrock. I just think that is a great idea.

I have two stamping opportunities for you this week. Tomorrow night (tues) at 6:30 is the boy birthday card stamp-a-stack. If you plan on attending I need to know by 8pm tonight so I can finish preparing. You will make 10 cards the cost is $15

Friday I will be hosting an Open stamp night at my house. This will start at 6:30pm. Bring a snack to share if you'd like. There is no charge, however I will have some left over projects from previous classes. If you'd like to make those it is $1 a card. Please let me know by thursday if you plan on attending.

I"m sorry, please forgive me

As many of you know, I'm in a play at church "You Can't Take it With You" and this weekend is the show. So I haven't had time to stamp the last few days. I promise that I will get back to my regular posting schedule next week. I've also got some new classes planned on different nights of the week. Look for more info later.

For now I just want you to mark on your calendar the 1st Friday of every month as OPEN STAMP NIGHT. This will start March 6th at 6:30. Come and work on your own projects, you can use the Big Shot, my punches and stamp sets. Bring a snack to share! The only thing I from you is an RSVP so I know how many to plan for.

Hit the road with the bike

This card uses the Hit the Road set also but it features the bicycle. One of the great things about the 4 x 4 card is that you are able to create a focal point with a smaller image.

To add a bit of texture the creamy carmel square has been distressed on the edges and the pacific point cardstock was embossed using the Big Shot Texturz plates. These are really easy to use and make a huge difference. If you click on the picture it will enlarge and you'll be able to see the texture a bit better.

Are you tired of "Hit the Road" yet?

I hope not because I still have a couple more cards to share!

This one uses the In colors, pacific point and tangerine tango (perfect combo for a male card). The main image is stamped in pacific point and colored with markers.

I really wanted to create another color layer around the sentiment but when I put the old olive circle under the tangerine circle it covered too much of the jeep image. So the old olive circle is under need the jeep image and the tangerine image is popped up on dimensionals. I really like how it turned out.

HI was created using the Bill Board alphabet die and the big shot. I love that I can spell anything.

Another "Hit the Road"

But this one doesn't have anything to do with roads. I love this canoe, when I saw the stamp set that was the first image I noticed. A few years ago Steve got a canoe for Christmas and each summer we try to go canoeing as much as possible. We all have a great time! I can't wait to use this stamp on a scrapbook page!

I thought that the journey definition from Define your life was a perfect sentiment to go along with this image.

Sale-a-bration paper

If you haven't noticed by now, you will soon, that I've discovered a new size card that I love. It is 4 x4 inches. It's square and fits into a regular card envelop so you can still mail it. The thing I like about this size is that if you are using 12 x 12 designer paper, your paper goes a lot further. This is also a great size if you are making cards using the simply scrappin kits.

This card base is Sahara sand and the designer paper is cut at 3 1/4 x 3 1/4, there is a border of so saffron around the designer paper. I used a strip of bashful blue cardstock across the front and stamped my sentiment.

I do not yet have the full heart punch, but this image is so easy to cut out I just used my paper snips to cut the heart. After cutting the whisper white cardstock I adhered it to the bashful blue and then cut the bashful blue cardstock to create the border. I find it easier to cut after adhering so it doesn't slide around.
