Easter Layout

This is my Easter spread, I used the same stamp set I used for my Easter cards (bunny hugs) I punched the letters for the title using the large oval punch and then decorated to look like eggs. I also used the big shot to make paper buttons and tied them with a little bit of ribbon.

Big shot letters

I used the Big Shot the make the title for this page. I really like how they look, I just haven't figured out the best way to adhere them. I used tombo multi adhesive, which I love, but the letters are so small that I had a hard time not getting glue everywhere. I'm going to have to keep playing, and let you know what works best.

fabulous pizazz

I apologize for the poor lighting on this picture. I'm not sure what happened. But you get the general idea. I used the Petal Pizazz and Absolutely Fabulous stamp sets. the colors are certain celery, apricot appeal and eggplant envy. I don't know if you can see it but I dry embossed along the scallops using my crop-a-dile. The button also has a tiny piece of celery cardstock in it to make it appear to be sewn.

More than just pictures

I have a lot of pictures, so typically when I scrapbook I am trying to get several pictures on to one page. Because of this I don't usually have a lot of room for large stamped spaces. Usually a few stamped embellishments are about all I do. But on this layout I had room for a cool stamped focal point, so I decided to use my TopNote die for my Big Shot!
I really love how it turned out.

8 1/2 x 11 scrapbook

I opted to use 8 1/2 x 11 pages for my 2007 scrapbook. I usually use 12 x 12 but I had an extra scrapbook that was sized for 8 1/2 x 11 so I thought I should use it.

I vary the size of scrapbooks depending on what the topic is. I did the kid's school days scrapbooks with 6x6. I really love the 8 1/2 x 8 1/2 book that Stampin' Up! is now offering. You have a lot to choose from, so don't be intimidated by a 12 x 12 scrapbook page!

My birthday brought my mojo back

Yesterday was my birthday! and to celebrate I spent the day stamping. I started on a card (which I'll show you later) but then realized that cards are all I've done lately. I needed to work on my 2007 scrapbook. I'd done all the hard work. The pictures were printed and organized, all ready to go. I started working and got 5 double layouts done plus a cover!

Since it was my birthday and it will be my daughter's in just a few days, it's only fitting for me to show you the birthday spread. Colors are all shades of purple, eggplant envy, pale plum, perfect plum. the stamp set is a retired set that is a line of purses. I colored them with the markers so they are different shades of purple.

Big Shot Scalloped Envelope

A few weeks ago I got a bunch of new goodies from Stampin' Up! I love opening the box and seeing all the new stuff, the problem is you can't use everything on one project. So this is the first chance I've had to play with the Big shot scalloped envelop die. There are so many things I want to make with it (like the cool box I've seen so many other people make). But the simplest was to use it on this card. I love the way the butterflies look like they are flying out of the envelope!. I used the Great Friend stamp set again. It's beautiful!

Forest Friends

These are cards made by my new Swap Sister, Terri. Aren't they incredible?! I'm so lucky to have her in my swap group. She used the Forest Friends stamp set from the Occasions Mini. These four cards show how this one stamp set can be mixed with other sentiments and be used from everything from Easter to Graduation!

I especially love the cool folds that she did. The above card opens to revel the deer and the tree image. Beautiful! The card below looks like a graduation cap with a tassel and opens up to say "Congrats"!

Happy Easter

Here are the cards I finally decided to make for Easter. I didn't find anything that screamed "use me" in my current sets so I looked thru my retired sets and found this very cute bunny. The set is called "bunny hugs" I hadn't even used it. I stamped the bunny and basket in Chocolate chip, then colored using markers. Colors are cameo coral, lovely lilac, certainly celery, apricot appeal .
I really like the look of putting white cardstock inside the card and stamping something in the corner, I think it gives the card a nice finished look.

I made a total of 10 of these cards to send to friends and family. I don't do a lot of mass producing, but sometimes there's no better way around it. If you've fallen in love, this stamp set can be yours for just $10, stamp set goes to the first person to contact me.

Par-fect Father's Day or Birthday

I love the shorts on this guy! This card could easily be a Birthday card instead of Father's day. It's perfect for the golfer's in your life.
The oval was cut with the scalloped oval die and big shot, I discarded the scalloped frame portion. You could also use the coluzzle for this.

Wagon Full of Fun

Here are the swaps I got from my fellow demonstrator Shirley. She used Wagon Full of fun. As you can see it's a very versatile set; Easter, birthday, mother's day, baby and many more uses.

I really loved this card with the swinging top, it opens to show the duck sitting in the wagon. . .how cute!

the Three R's

What more does a person need to really relax but a recliner, remote and refreshments?
It's hard to see but on the bottom of the bashful blue cardstock is stamped RELAX, it creates a nice easy border.
sorry this is such a quick post, Spring Break is winding down, and the kids and I have more fun stuff planned.

Great Friend with French Script

There are some retired stamps that I just can't get rid of, the French Script background stamp is one of them. I love how this card turned out. I was inspired by a swap card I had received at Training Day back in January.

On whisper white cardstock randomly stamp the butterfly and the leaf stamp, then stamp the words over top. I think it give a romantic feel. Add a little ribbon, and frame to make the sentiment stand out and you have a beautiful card!
