There is a lot going on right now at Stampin' Up! and I wanted to let you know what is coming up so you can plan ahead.

November 23rd--Day after Thanksgiving Special
November 27th--Last Christmas Stamp-a-Stack
November 30th--Last day to order from the Holiday Mini
December 1st--Retirement list released
December 4th--Holiday Giftmaking Class
December 7th--Holiday Open House/Retirement Party
December 31st--Last day to order from the Fall/Winter Catalog
January 1st--New Spring/Summer Catalog on line
February 1st thru March 15th --Sale-A-Bration

There maybe more added to the list later but for now that gives you an idea of what to look for. If you want to hostess a workshop during Sale-A-bration you need to set the date with me as soon as possible, I'm already filling up.

The 8th? week of Christmas

I know I've missed a couple weeks of Christmas and now I've forgotten what week it is. Anyway this is a quick and easy and inexpensive gift. A Personalized Frame. This frame was bought at Hobby Lobby and I used paper from the "Out and About" Simply Scrappin kit. I added ribbon and hardware. I plan on putting a picture of one of our family camping trips in this frame.

Step one: Trace Frame onto patterned paper and cut out.
Step two: Adhere paper to frame using modge podge or anywhere glue stick. I use the anywhere glue stick because when I try to use modge podge my paper always bubbles.
Step Three: Sand off the access paper using a sanding block. This also give a distressed look to the paper.
Step Four: Embellish however you wish.

Supply List:
Designer Paper
AnyWhere Glue Stick
Hodgepodge Hardware
Ribbon
Sanding Blocks.

Anything on the supply list will be 20% off until November 28th but you must mention the 12 days of Christmas in your order.

A couple more samples

Here are two other cards that we made Friday night. The top one uses the Snow Wheel from the Holiday mini. I used white craft ink on night of navy cardstock. That is layered on top of vellum cardstock. I really like the way vellum gives that soft white look. Then I thought there needed to be a focal point . I wish I had the snowflake punch I would have punched a vellum snowflake, but instead I stamped a snowflake and layered on top of a vellum scalloped circle punch. It gives the same feel. This would be a great card to make in mass production. The wheels make stamping go so fast!!
The bottom picture is a card using the "So Much" stamp set that I received at the regional training seminar. I haven't used it very much, but I really like it. I like to use it with the coluzzle (my new favorite toy). I used only Purely Pomegranate ink. I stamped the flower and cut it out. I don't really like to take the time to cut things out but this is an easy flower to cut. Of course you have to add a little bling to the center of the flower using the rhinestone brads. Then I used the coluzzle to cut the circle.

Free Stamp Set

Stampin' UP! Demonstrators love free stamps just as much as everyone else. And last week I got a great surprise in the mail. A free stamp set called "Time Well Spent". It will be in the new catalog coming January 1st. The set is a level three hostess set. All active demonstrators received this set free as a Thank you for Stampin UP!. It really is a great company to work for.
I couldn't wait to use this set, so we made this card at a party Friday night. It uses the sentiment only of the 12 piece set. I used markers to color in the letters of of the word "Friends" then I used color blocks in Old Olive, Really Rust and Chocolate Chip behind the main image. It's a very cute but simple card.
