Wedding scrapbook
In December I did another theme scrapbook. This one was for my sister-in-law. She will celebrate her 2nd wedding anniversary this year but we still hadn't done a scrapbook yet. So I decided that her wedding would be the perfect thing to scrapbook using My Digital Studio. I was very happy with how easy the software is to use. While doing the scrapbook I decided that I would finish my 2007 traditionally, but 2008 and 2009 were both going to be digital scrapbooks!
For this scrapbook I used Jeni's wedding colors chocolate chip and very vanilla, and several different stamp sets that came with MDS. Here's a few of my favorites.

Last of the baby scrapbook
With this scrapbook I kept the layouts very simple. All photo mats are sized at 4 1/4 x 6 1/4 perfect size for a 4 x 6 snap shot. There is one photo on each page and room to write information like date and weight if you want, however you don't need to. Some don't like to journal in their own handwriting.
For those of you that are overwhelmed with the idea of scrapbooking, try a theme scrapbook. It helps having a beginning and end.

Here are a few more pages...
One of the things that I love about a theme book is that you don't have to reinvent the wheel with every page. The numbers for the months are all made basically the same. (on a few pages I didn't add the red flower). This makes it easy because you can stamp all these a head of time and have it ready when you assemble the page. It also adds a consistency to the album and connects everything together.

baby scrapbook
Okay all of you know that I don't love scrapbooking. I focus more on cards and gifts. The reason is that it seems like it's never ending. I stress with each page about colors, layouts, accessories. Where do you begin? If your child is 3 years old do you try to scrapbook all the pictures from the last 3 years (I'm stressing just thinking about it)?
All that being said there are scrapbooks that I love making! I like a theme scrapbook. One that has a beginning and an end. The same color scheme, stamps and paper are used through out the book. I've done several scrapbooks like this. I made each of the kids a "School Days" Album. I made the entire album when Caleb was in Kindergarten and Emma wasn't in school yet. I love it because every year when they get their school pictures I put the picture in the book it takes me about 5 minutes to do both. To see one of the pages of this album click here.
The scrapbook I'm showing you today is for a baby shower gift for a friend. There is a place for a picture each month of the first year for the baby. We all know how hectic that first year with a baby can be so why do we put the extra pressure on ourselves to scrapbook it also! Anyway, I got the color scheme and design idea from looking at her registry to find out the nursery theme.
Look for more pictures tomorrow.

Valentine Class
Feb 1st I will be having a Valentine Class at 10am and 6:30pm. We will make a few different projects all with a Valentine theme. The cost is $10. Please RSVP by Saturday Jan 30th.
This card was made with the single "like-o-meter" stamp. It's so cute. On the side it says "here's how much I like you" then you color in the meter. With options like "I'd marry you again" and "you don't annoy me" this stamp can be used for all age valentines. I've used it with the black satin ribbon and there is only one word to describe the ribbon--sexy. wow! I love it. I still have a couple spots open in the ribbon share if you are interested it's $20 plus shipping and you get 3 yards of all 9 colors of the new satin ribbon.

Another birthday card
Here's another card we made using a retired stamp set called Big Bold Birthday (It's currently on the list of used retired sets for sale in this post). The color combo is my attempt at a gender neutral card. Bashful blue, certainly celery and dusty durango.

Brayer Technique
Most of you know or can tell by my blog that I'm not a big technique person. I like patterned paper, simple layouts and and little accessory. But this technique is so easy and wowing! I used the Brides speciality paper and inked my brayer up in mambo melon and rolled the brayer of the paper, the shimmery design resists the ink and you have a beautiful patterned paper in what ever color you want! LOVE IT!

New Clear Mount Stamps
As you begin to scan your new Occasions mini catalog you will see that you now have a choice when ordering the stamp sets, clear mount or wood block. Clear mount offers a lot of advantages, they save space and the stamp sets themselves are cheaper. You do need to purchase the acrylic blocks but you only pay for these once then use them with all the clear mount stamps you buy. I'm so happy that Stampin' Up! is offering this option it shows once again that Stampin' UP! listens to it's customers!

But that's not all Stampin' UP! has also released a heart shaped treat cup that can be used with he full heart punch and a coordinating stamp set. All this just in time for Valentines Day!
