Blue and Gold Invitation

Saturday night was my son Caleb's Blue and Gold banquet. This is the Cub Scouts annual award banquet. I've made the invites and the programs the last two years. I like to keep it fairly simple since I'm making a lot of them.
I think this is one of the simplest and most common lay outs. For those of you that are fairly new to stamping I encourage you to use this layout. Instead of a star you could have a square or rectangle with your main image. You could use ribbon instead of the blue strip of paper. Instead of a stampin' round wheel image at the bottom you could use patterned paper.
I would love to see what you can do with this simple layout!

New Challenge

When I stamp my table gets very messy. I will sometimes clean it off and put everything away, then start stamping by the end of the projects the table is full again. So sometimes I think it's easier to use the stuff on my table then to clean it off. So that's my challenge to you this week. make a project using your scraps or leftovers. Use the punch or ink or whatever accessory that is already out. Either send me a picture via email or comment and link your picture and you will be entered in a drawing for a prize!!

This card was made using scraps of what were on my table, including the negative part of the top note die cut. Pocket Silhouettes stamp set, chocolate chip ink, chocolate chip, whisper white, really rust, creamy Carmel, baja breeze and kiwi kiss cardstock.

Challenge for Labor Day Weekend

Here is a quick card done with the garden whimsy stamp set. It uses no ribbon, no hardware and only one punch. (give a girl a break I had to use some of my fun stuff) The words are from a package of rub-ons. To kick this simple card up a notch I traced some of the butterfly with a two-way glue pen then sprinkled it with dazzling diamonds glitter. I used real red, sage shadow and chocolate chip. I love this color combination, I used it last you to make unisex birthday cards.
So here is the challenge. Show me what you can do! Use the layout, the color scheme, the stamp set or glitter to create your own card. Feel free to make small changes. If you don't have the scallop edge punch just leave it straight. If you don't have rub-ons stamp your sentiment. After you have made the card take a picture or scan it and either email me or post a comment with the picture or link to the picture if you have a gallery on scs or if you have your own blog.
The challenge is simple: Take something, anything from this sample and make your own creation!
Submit the cards by Friday September 5th by 6pm and I will randomly pick one to receive some blog candy(I'll show you a picture of what you'll get later for now you'll just have to wonder).
let me know if you have any questions!

A challenge for you!!

wild wasabi, pretty in pink, silver brads, scallop and circle punches, paper piercer
old olive, groovy guava, night of navy, old olive poly ribbon, silver brads
Soft sky, chocolate chip, real red, soft sky stitched ribbon

Many of you have new stamps and paper from recent SAB purchases. My challenge is for you to use them!! These three cards all have the same basic design template. You will notice that I used different accents on the cards, and I used both square and rectangular cards, but the template is still basically the same. The template is below. I would like to see what you can make using this template. If you email me a picture of your card I will post it on my blog!

Have fun with the challenge!!
