More Samples from Traning Day

so I promised you more pictures of what we made Saturday at training day so here are a couple. This first card uses one of my favorite color combinations, pink and chocolate. I just love them together. The card base is regal rose, boho background is stamped on the base in chocolate ink. The square is made up of 4 different pretty in pink prints designer paper. The many thanks is one of the new Sale-a-bration stamps and of course you have to use the scalloped punch. The ribbon is chocolate taffeta. I love the taffeta ribbon because it's almost two toned. The edges are slightly lighter than the rest of the ribbon.
The next project was pure genius. If you've ever ordered the designer paper you know it comes with a thin piece of cardboard to make the package sturdier. Well for this project we used that cardboard to create the base of this magnetic notepad holder. The back was cut and we glued two pieces of cardboard together then covered it with the designer paper. We used sticky strip to attach the clothes pin to hold the pencil. You can see we also got to use the new felt flowers to decorate the clothes pin. We used the crop-a-dile to punch a hole at the top for ribbon and to punch two holes in the side to hold the paper. We used sticky magnetic strip for the back. There was no stamping on this project but it was so much fun and so easy. I'm kicking myself for always throwing away that piece of cardboard! p.s. did you know that if you click on the pictures on my blog you get a larger picture and you can see more details ... I just learned that by accident.
